Iowa State officials want the Cyclones to have a big home field advantage for the final two home games of the season.

Athletic Director Jamie Pollard wants fans to “Pack the Jack” by getting to the stadium early and staying late for Saturday’s matchup with Kansas State. As part of Saturday’s game more than 130 former Iowa State football players will take part in a letterwinners reunion.

Cyclone coach Dan McCarney says he’s been trying to get it done for a long time, as there has never been one weekend when all the letterman were invited back. I-S-U officials also announced that all remaining reserved seats for next week’s home finale against Colorado will be sold for 10 dollars.

The Cyclones are 5-3 overall and 2-3 in the Big-12 after an impressive win at Texas A@M. He says they let three games slip away and they don’t want to do that again and want to finish strong. McCarney says all of the teams in the Big-12 still have post season hopes. He says it’s rare in any conference to be into November and not one school has been eliminated. He says they’ll need a great crowd as this is an important football game.

The Cyclones scored 28-points in the fourth quarter in a victory over K-State last year in Manhattan. A victory Saturday would be Iowa State’s first over the Wildcats at home since 1993. McCarney says there are a lot of things they need to do that they haven’t done, and one is to beat K-State at home. The Wildcats have lost three straight games and stand 4-4 overall and 1-4 in the Big Twelve.
