A Thanksgiving tradition’s underway once again in Kamrar today. The New Traders Inn is hosting a dinner for people who have nowhere else to go for the holiday. Mindy Woodford is coordinating today’s feast. Before starting time she’d had about 95 reservation but said a lot of folks don’t make them — and last year she fed 127 guests. Her mother-in-law started it years ago, and Woodford’s decided to continue the tradition, giving back to the community that’s supported her all year. Woodford said today’s meal features all the fixings for Thanksgiving — turkey, dressing, “REAL mashed potatoes” and gravy, sweet potatoes, scalloped corn, pumpkin pie and cranberries. The meal’s being served all afternoon long, in the town of Kamrar in Hamilton County.
