A non-profit group which works to improve the lives of Iowa children who have cancer is promoting its annual holiday fundraiser. Tony Timm, spokesman for the Heart Connection Children’s Cancer Programs, says the group’s holiday card program helps to pay for an oncology camp for cancer-stricken kids and their siblings. The agency’s two biggest programs are two weeklong summer camps, one for children with cancer, the other for their brothers and sisters. Timm says all of the camps are free for the kids and their families and they’re paid for through the holiday card program. He says the holiday cards are designed by the kids who attend the camp with all proceeds going back into the program. This year’s six designs range from holiday trees and snowmen to winter scenes. The cards are 12-dollars for 24 with discounts and imprinting for larger orders. Surf to “www.HolidayCardsByKids.com” or call (515) 243-6239 to get a brocure or to place an order.
