An eastern Iowa school is going to get a face lift. Voters in the Allamakee Community School District in Waukon have approved a nine-point-seven million dollar bond issue to make improvements to the high school building. The issue needed 60-percent approval to pass and received nearly 76-percent. The unofficial vote tally was two-thousand-206 yes and 709 no. The money will be used to remodel the high school, build a community wellness center and add a satellite campus for the Northeast Iowa Community College.
