Klemesrud says thousands of people will purchase licenses. They sell 170,000 hunting licenses and about 325,000 fishing licenses each year. Klemesrud says there usually isn’t a huge rush to renew licenses right away in January. Klemesrud says they see a big spike in licenses around March as people start to think about the spring turkey season. He says most of the fishing licenses are issued by June.
