Jury selection continues today (Tuesday) in the trial of Roger Bentley. More than 100 prospective jurors were given an overview of the case in the first day of selection Monday, and of the more than a dozen questioned, fifteen were asked to return for today’s round.

Bentley’s accused of taking 10-year-old Jetseta Gage from her mother’s home in Cedar Rapids last March and killing her at an abandoned mobile home in Johnson County. Prospective jurors were asked on Monday whether their family had ever been touched by violence, and if they’d heard of Bentley. If they have a dozen jury members chosen by the end of the day, opening arguments could begin tomorrow.
