A Minnesota woman has pleaded guilty to contributing to the death of her mother in Sac County, Iowa, last fall. Twenty-eight-year-old Tara Bryant of Byron, Minnesota, appeared in Sac County District Court yesterday (Monday), at which time she pleaded guilty to a charge of involuntary manslaughter, which is a class-D felony.

An investigation by the Sac County Sheriff’s office revealed Bryant gave her mother, 50-year-old Carol Bryant, a dose of methadone that accidentally killed her. Carol Bryant was found dead in her home in Auburn back in September. Tara Bryant is scheduled to be sentenced in Sac County District Court February 27th.
