The Simpson College women are a victory away from clinching the Iowa Conference regular season title. The Storm host Buena Vista Friday night and with one victory in their final four games will clinch the crown as well as sew up home court advantage for the post-season tournament.

Simpson coach Brian Neimuth says that’s the thing they want the most, the home court advantage, as he says that’s “huge.” He says his team needs to get better at playing a complete game and uses the first game with BV as an example.

The Storm rallied from a more than ten points down in both halves before winning in overtime. Neimuth says that’s the way the games have gone lately, but he says you can’t do that against a good team and he’s hoping for a better start this time.

Simpson won the first meeting 91-82 in overtime. The Storm are 12-0 in the conference race and Neimuth admits he is surprised they have a three game lead at this point. He says it says a lot about the league, that anybody can beat anybody.
