A fire in Marshalltown Wednesday was deadly. An elderly woman died after firefighters rescued her from a burning home. Lorraine Forbes was found on the kitchen floor of her home by firefighters. She was transported to a hospital where she died. They’ll do an autopsy to determine the cause of her death. Firefighters say they think the fire was caused by misuse of smoking materials.
