An Iowa firm is closing one of its four factories. The Winnebago plant in Lorimor will be closing on June 16th. Employees received the announcement this (Friday) morning. The Lorimor plant is a sewing operation that makes curtains and bedspreads.

Company spokesperson Sheila Davis says the Lorimor facility is not owned by the company and is the most remote facility so it chose not to renew its lease and is instead moving work closer to its headquarters in Forest City.

Winnebago also has locations in Hampton and Charles City. The move affects 46 fulltime jobs at the Lorimor plant, which has been there since 1984. The 46 workers have been offered jobs at sewing operations at the other locations if they wish to relocate.
