The coroner’s report on a man killed last year in north-central Iowa tells us a little more about the case. Jesse Patchin was reported missing more than two months before his body was found last January in a wooded area near Greene.

The medical examiner’s report filed this week says he was stabbed to death, wounded in the chest, stomach and back. Court papers say he argued with an acquaintance over drugs, and 25-year-old James -D- Raymond of Clarksville is jailed in Floyd County, charged with first-degree murder in Patchin’s death. He’s pleaded guilty and his trial is set for July 11.
