The U-N-I football team closes out spring drills with an intrasquad game Saturday afternoon in the UNI-Dome. The Panthers have high hopes for next season after making it to the one-double-a national championship game in 2005.

Panther coach Mark Farley says they have a lot of work to do as they had a scrimmage the other day and he couldn’t even says U-N-I won the scrimmage. Farley has been happy with the play of the offensive line.

Farley says two teams will be drafted to create a competitive spring game, a tradition that tries to make two teams that’re evenly matched. Farley feels it makes the spring game more interesting. He says it keeps the score down, but it lets the players have fun. Farley says they have a picnic after the game that’s also fun. Kickoff is at one o’clock.
