Five people are charged with murder in the death of a man at a Des Moines cemetery. Des Moines police spokesman Todd Dykstra says it happened early Sunday. He says the investigation shows four people lured 18-year-old Mathew Stegman to the cemetery with the intent of killing him.

Dykstra says police were able to round up all the suspects. He says 22-year-old Andrew Johnson, 24-year-old, Robert Myers, and 27-year old Robert Johnston were arrested and charged with first-degree murder. Twenty-two-year-old Sheri Fisher was also arrested and charged with first-degree murder for her involvement in the planning of the murder. Later this afternoon, Dykstra says 22-year-old Terry Williams turned himself in and was charged with first-degree murder.

Dykstra says the five suspects and Stegman lived together. Dykstra says the investigation has found there was some type of “internal conflict” and they’re still trying to narrow down just what the conflict was. Dykstra says the cause of Stegman’s death was determined to be “blunt force trauma and sharp-edged injuries” — he was beaten and stabbed to death.
