A Waterloo woman got into some trouble this weekend after allegedly for trying to return merchandise to a Cedar Falls Beauty Salon that the woman had purchased using a stolen check. Cedar Falls police were called to the Sally Beauty Salon this weekend where a woman was attempting to return merchandise for a cash refund.

Police say the woman was attempting to return merchandise for a cash refund she had purchased the previous day with a stolen check that she had forged. The woman, identified as 33-year-old Kimberly Barnes of Waterloo, got into a physical confrontation with the salon clerk after the clerk refused to give her a cash refund. The clerk also refused to give back the merchandise.

Barnes did eventually leave with the merchandise, and was later located and arrested in Waterloo. Barnes is charged with second-degree robbery, forgery and driving with a suspended license.
