Upper Iowa is hoping to eliminate turnovers when the Peacocks host Minnesota-Moorhead this weekend. Upper Iowa committed seven turnovers, including six interceptions in a 48-7 loss to Winona State and coach Mike Knoll hopes to get quarterback Andrew Jones back on track.

Knoll says they’ll see a lot of zone defense and Jones needs to get into his progressions and throw the ball where it needs to be thrown. Knoll says they will try to mix it up on defense against Moorhead’s spread offense.

He says they’ll use multiple looks in the secondary and will play a combination of man and zone. Knoll says the Peacocks need to limit mistakes and not beat themselves. Knoll says if they move the football and maintain possession, they can go a long way. Upper Iowa is 1-2 overall and 1-1 in the Northern Sun Conference.
