In high school football action tonight there is a key matchup in class 1A district one as seventh ranked West Sioux visits once beaten West Lyon. Both teams are unbeaten in district play and the winner grabs sole possession of the lead with two games remaining.

West Sioux had lost 19 straight games prior to the start of the 2005 season and is off to its best start since 1980. West Sioux coach Andy Yost says the team is playing at a level he didn’t think they could achieve. Yost says controlling the football will be a key to the outcome.

Yost says it will be a toe-to-toe battle and he says as much as they run the ball, the game is going to go fast.

West Lyon coach Jay Rozeboom has been impressed by West Sioux as he says they’re playing great football now and winning on both sides of the line of scrimmage. Rozeboom says West Sioux has a number of weapons and he says that makes it hard to figure out what to stop. He says the team that makes the fewest mistakes will win the ballgame.
