Two Iowans were aboard a private plane that had a close call. The small twin-engine plane, piloted by a Webster City man, had to make an emergency landing in a farm field in Oklahoma on Thursday morning. The plane was piloted by Masahiro Funabashi and left Iowa earlier on Thursday.

Funabashi and his passenger, Tyson Thielen of Jefferson, were traveling to Oklahoma City to deliver payroll checks. Shortly after refueling in Tulsa, the planes engines quit suddenly. They made a safe landing with no injuries. The F-A-A will look into the incident.
