The Drake Bulldogs Sunday claimed their first win in Hilton Coliseum since 1978. The Bulldogs squandered a 16 point second half lead then got a driving layup from all Stewart with four seconds remaining for an 80-78 win.

The Cyclones got what would have been a game winning three pointer from Dodie Dunson at the buzzer but it was waved off by the officials who upheld their decision after checking the replay. Dunson had tied the game at 78 with 14 seconds remaining before Stewart hit the gamewinner.

Senior forward A.J. Calvin led the Bulldogs with 22 points and the bulldogs got a huge lift from freshman guard Josh Young who scored a season high 18 points, including four of seven from three point range. Klayton Korver added tens points for the Bulldogs who improve to 4-2.

Dunson had 16 points for Iowa State as did freshman Wesley Johnson who added ten rebounds. After opening 6-0 the Cyclones have dropped their last two.
