A Waterloo man has been arrested in connection with a deadly two-vehicle accident in Waterloo. The accident happened Sunday night shortly after 7:30 p.m. when a car driven at a high rate of speed by 43-year-old Dorray Cooper of Waterloo crossed the median into the path of an oncoming car driven by 47-year-old Debra Ahles of Waterloo.

Ahles died at Allen Hospital shortly after the accident. Cooper was treated for his injuries then taken to the Black Hawk County jail on a charge of homicide by vehicle. Additional charges are pending.
