One man’s dead after an accident Saturday night in southwest Iowa.

According to the state patrol report, a farm tractor on Highway 25 just north of Creston didn’t have road lights or the required triangular sign to warn other drivers it was a slow-moving vehicle on a public roadway. When a Chevy Blazer came up behind it a lot faster, the patrol says the SUV hit the tractor, then went into the oncoming lane and hit a pickup almost head-on.

The 24-year-old woman in the SUV was injured and so was the driver of the tractor and a passenger in the truck. The pickup’s driver, 73-year-old George Farnsworth of Adair, was killed in the crash.
