The Iowa State Cyclones look to snap a three game losing skid tonight when they take on Savannah State. The Cyclones are 6-3 on the season. Savannah State is also out to snap a losing streak. The Tigers opened the season with five victories but have dropped their last seven games.

Cyclone coach Greg McDermott says Savannah State has kept most games close until the late going, and appear to be well coached. McDermott says a well coached team can explode on you at any time, and he says his players will be distracted by finals.

Iowa State needs more consistent play from the point guard spot. Mike Taylor and Corey McIntosh are sharing the role. McDermott says Taylor is not a true point guard, but is their second best option right now and they need to work to see that Taylor and McIntosh do what they need to get done.

The Cyclones won the first two games against Savannah State back in 2001 in 2002.
