Charges have been filed against a teenager in the death of a 13 month girl at rural Delmar home on November 22. Clinton County Sheriff Rick Lincoln announced that a charge of ?child endangerment resulting in the death of child? has been filed against 14 year old Shawn William Kiger.

Kiger is accused in the death of Arryana Clark, the daughter of Jessica Barnhart Clark and Marvin Clark. An autopsy revealed the girl died of a head injury and was a homicide. Kiger was a foster child at the home of Lowell and Nancy Barnhart home?at the same address where the girl?s parents lived. Court papers state that Kiger and the 13-month-old girl and her mother were in a residence at the rural Delmar address, when the child?s mother went to another residence on the same property?leaving Kiger to watch the child.

During the period of time the teenager was left alone with the child?the child sustained a head injury which caused her death, according to the court papers. Lincoln did state that there were a total of four foster children at the Barnhart home, but would not say whether they remain there. Clinton County Mike Wolf said he has filed a motion to move the case to adult court due to the nature of the crime. Neither Lincoln nor Wolf would discuss other details of the case.
