Iowa’s out-going governor will appear tonight (Monday) on a cable television program that’s a spoof of the news. Governor Tom Vilsack, the first Democrat to announce he’s running for president, is to be interviewed by comedian Jon Stewart on “The Daily Show” — a fake evening newscast on Comedy Central.

Stewart has been making fun of Vilsack’s name. On the night Vilsack announced he was running for president, Stewart did a bit that featured a duck quacking Vilsack’s name. “The Daily Show” airs at 10 o’clock in Iowa. Ninety million U.S. homes subscribe to a cable system which broadcasts Comedy Central, where the show airs.
