State officials say the latest report on jobs in Iowa shows there continues to be “steady growth” in the state’s economy. Iowa’s November unemployment rate fell to three-point-four percent. That is just over a percentage point lower than the unemployment rate a year ago.

In a prepared statement, Iowa Workforce Development interim director David Neil said he sees “little evidence” that a “pattern of steady growth will be interrupted in the months ahead.?

Just over one-point-six million Iowans are working, according to the data from Neil’s agency. That’s about 45-thousand more than were employed a year ago. According to the agency, about 58-thousand Iowans were among the ranks of the “unemployed” in November.
