The Iowa Hawkeyes open the second half of the Big Ten race at home when they take on Indiana. The Hawks are 4-4 in the league race after a victory at Michigan and host an Indiana squad that handed Wisconsin its first Big Ten loss on Wednesday night.

Iowa coach Steve Alford says it’s the biggest game of the year and they’ve been working hard all year. Alford says their 4-4 record puts them right in the middle of a lot of other teams and this is pivotal to get another win.

Alford says the Hoosiers are a confident team after beating Wisconsin. The Hoosiers won in lopsided fashion in the first matchup and coach Kelvin Sampson says slowing down Iowa senior Adam Haluska is a key. Sampson remembers Haluska when he was the coach at Oklahoma and Haluska was a freshman at Iowa State. Sampson says Haluska has a lot of confidence in his offensive game, so they have to prepare for him.

The Hawks are 12-10 overall. Indiana is 6-2 and in third in the Big Ten. They are 16-5 overall.
