Basketball is easy when a team shoots it well and that’s what UNI did to snap a five game losing streak. The Panthers made 14 of 18 shots from the field in the second half and for the game made 8 of ten from three point range and got a huge win at Bradley 79-70.

UNI coach Ben Jacobson on his postgame show on the UNI Sports Network says they don’t like to rely on making 78 percent of their shots to win a game. Jacobson says they’ve talked about being tough enough to make plays, and they did that in this game.

The Panthers improve to 8-9 in the Valley and 17-12 overall. Senior guard Brooks McKowen says Bradley is a tough basketball team and it was the first time a team he’s been on has won at Bradley. It was only the Panthers second win in Peoria in 17 tries.
