The search for two elderly southeast Iowa women has come to an end. Authorities say Washington residents, 74-year-old Madge Sabin and her passenger 78-year-old Marie Hiller, were found in dead in their vehicle in a ditch in Jefferson County Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities now report Sabin lost control of her vehicle, struck a bridge railing, flipped and came to a rest upside down in a ditch, killing both. The two were reported missing early Tuesday morning after not making it to their destination Monday afternoon. The investigation continues.
