A Waterloo doctor who’s jailed on drug charges faces more legal troubles as the federal government is taking action to seize his home and property. Federal authorities have filed forfeiture action against the home of Doctor Mark Louviere, who remains in jail on one-point-six million dollar bond.

Louviere was arrested April 3rd after police found nearly one million dollars worth of methamphetamine, along with firearms, in his home and his neighbor’s home. Records show Louviere’s house and property are valued at nearly $273,000. The government alleges the property was used or intended to be used to facilitate federal drug law violations. Last week, a state court formally charged Louviere with drug conspiracy charges.
