Registration deadlines are approaching for the Iowa Games most popular basketball division. Executive director Jim Hallihan says June sixth is the postal deadline to register a team in the men’s open division. Hallihan says it’s a very popular division, with former college players taking part.
They have a regional June 16th in Cedar Falls and in Iowa City and Des Moines on June 23rd. Teams will need to qualify through one of those three regionals. Hallihan says teams may choose any of the three regionals to compete in. In the early years you had to compete in the regional where you lived, but now there is no limit on which regional you can compete in.
The on-line registration deadline is June 11th. The Iowa Games are July 12th through the 15th and the 20th through the 22nd in Ames.
