The next event for the Iowa Speedway will be it’s biggest yet. The new track will host the Indy Car Series later this month and ticket sales have picked up since last week’s Indy 500. General manager Craig Armstrong say they have ordered more than 5,000 temporary seats and will add more if needed.

Armstrong says the Indy 500 helps focus the attention on the Indy Car races, including the Iowa Indy Corn 250 race on Sunday June 24th at noon. Armstrong feels the speedway may be a perfect fit for the Indy Cars. Tony Kanaan tested tires at the track and it’s the fastest he’s felt he’s been going.

Frank Kimmel won the ARCA RE/MAX series race at the Iowa Speedway over the weekend.
