A central Iowa woman could be going to jail after someone says they saw her swiping toilet paper.
Thirty-eight-year-old Suzanne Butts of Marshalltown is accused of stealing toilet paper from the Marshall County Courthouse.
An employee at the courthouse last week spotted Butts with three rolls of toilet paper taken from a storage closet. Butts was arrested last week. Butts has been charged with aggravated misdemeanor.
Because of prior theft convictions, Butts could face up to three years in jail if found guilty of the toilet paper theft.
Butts does not work at the courthouse. Authorities don’t know why she stole the toilet paper.
