After touring around a women’s basketball program at a junior college in Alabama Zareth Gray will look to do the same thing at Clarke College in Dubuque. Gray takes over a program that is moving to the NAIA level and will compete in the Midwest Classic Conference.

Gray says the campus sold itself, as did the people. She wanted an opportunity to take over a program and turn it around. Gray feels with a move to a new conference it is the right time to take over the program, as it’s in its infant stage right now and gives all the sports the opportunity to build.

Gray says turning around any program begins on the recruiting trail, as she says the biggest key is getting athletes that want to win. Gray played college basketball at Michigan State and spent the past two seasons at Bevill State Community College in Alabama where she led the school to a 19-13 record in 2007.
