A tense situation for Waterloo police last night ended with no shots fired. The standoff ended peacefully. Shortly after 6:30 last night, officers surrounded a home after learning that a man armed with weapons has barricaded himself inside.
The Waterloo police tactical unit was able to negotiate with the man. He surrendered without incident about a half-hour later. Police haven’t released the man’s name. The incident remains under investigation.
