The senior pitcher tossed a five hitter and struck out nine against Fremont-Mills to earn his ninth victory of the year as Essex grabbed a share of the Corner Conference title. Holmes also helped his own cause at the plate by going three-for-three with a pair of doubles and two RBIs. In two games last week, Holmes was a perfect five-for-five with 4RBIs and also had four stolen bases.
