Authorities have tracked down the pilot who "dusted" about three dozen detasslers in a central Iowa farm field. On Sunday morning, 36 detasslers working for Pioneer were sprayed by a crop dusting plane as they were detassling north of Highway 96, north of Marshalltown.

The workers were taken to the Marshalltown hospital to be decontaminated. Most were released by two p.m. Today the Marshall County Sheriff released the names of those involved. The pilot has been identified as 65-year-old Billy Dale Kinder of Lawrence, Arkansas. He was employed by Hoppe Airspray of Terril, Iowa. Further investigation will be done by the State Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship office.
