Two-hundred people in Southeast Iowa searched for over four hours after a two and a half year old girl was reported missing over the weekend. The child was Leslie Miller and was reported missing from her home in Wellman at about noon on Saturday, and the local law enforcement, fire departments, first responders, state patrol, also med-force helicopter, and the Iowa National Guard were all joined by local churches and residents in the search.

Police officer Brett Sorrells and search and rescue dog Storm found the girl. Sorrells says, "She didn’t really react to the dog, she was just kind of sitting there, the dog was sitting right next to her, and I think it happened so quick. And Sorrells says that Leslie was grateful.

"As soon as I seen the little girl, I threw my dog her reward, which is a tennis ball, and then I picked Leslie up and as soon as I picked her up, she gave me a big hug," Sorrells says. Sorrells is from the Washington Police department and was using two canines in the search, he says the child was found unharmed with her striped sun dress and pink boots one mile north of her home in a corn field.
