Davenport police are investigating two shootings Wednesday. The first shooting happened just before three A.M. Wednesday, as police say three 15-year-old boys were playing around with a semi-automatic pistol.

The boys had apparently been loading and unloading the gun, and thought it was unloaded when one of the boys pointed the gun at the other and shot him in the arm.  The boy was taken to the hospital to have surgery on the arm. His condition is not known. Police recovered a nine millimeter gun and say criminal charges are anticipated.

In the second shooting, police says four or five shots were fired at one group of individuals from another group. Police say no one was hurt. They says it appears to be an on-going feud between two families over some past incidents. Police are still sorting things out and no charges have been filed.
