Presidential candidate Joe Biden says some of his fellow Democrats should stop misleading Americans into thinking the U.S. can get out of Iraq "tomorrow." On Sunday afternoon, Biden spoke to about one-hundred people gathered in his Iowa campaign headquarters. Marilyn Bruce of West Des Moines is a Biden backer.

"Just listen to him because the first time I heard him it was very clear to me that he was not scripted, that he was not holding back what he really believes," she says. "He has a plan and he knows how to get there." During his remarks to the crowd, Biden said America’s standing in the world must be repaired.

"The world is waiting for it," he said. "They resent the fact we’re the most powerful nation, but the fact of the matter is that they are more frightened by the fact that the world’s most powerful nation has lost its way." Two other Democratic presidential candidates — John Edwards and Chris Dodd — are campaigning in Iowa today. Other Democrats will come into the state this week, too, in advance of a debate among the Democratic candidates scheduled for Sunday in Des Moines.
