An anti-war group will be following Iowa Congressman Tom Latham during his travels in the state the next few days. The organization "Americans Against Escalation in Iraq" has targeted Latham and Senator Chuck Grassley, asking them to vote for the redeployment of troops. Sue Dinsdale of Huxley joined the organization after her oldest son, Jessie, completed his second tour of duty in Iraq.

"I don’t claim to be a foreign policy expert," Dinsdale says, "but I do know first hand the toll that this war is taking on Iowans." Dinsdale has been helping lead an effort in Iowa called "Iraq Summer: Take a Stand." "It’s ordinary people that are standing up in the state," Dinsdale says, "1,800 people have signed statements of conscience calling on our members of Congress to stand up and end the war."

For two months, Dinsdale has been delivering yard signs and bumper stickers that read "Support the Troops – End the War." She says they’ve distributed over 7,000 yard signs and 5,000 bumper stickers. More information about Dinsdale’s organization can be found on-line at: http://www.IraqSummer.org . Representative Latham is scheduled to be in Fort Dodge today, Clear Lake on Sunday, and Ames on Monday
