UNI coach Mark Farley says the Panthers are using this week to rest and work on fundamentals. The Panthers don’t play another game until October 13th and are 5-0 after opening the Gateway Conference race with a victory at Illinois State.

Farley says the mental rest is as important as the physical rest, to get caught up on academics. As far as football, Farley says you have to go back to working to do everything correctly.

After four straight road games Farley says the off-week comes at the right time. He says it’s not playing the game, it’s the travel that has you getting home late on Sunday. Farley says that wears on people and now they have a timely break to get the freshness back.
