Sole possession of the lead in class A district four is up for grabs tonight as second rated Algona Garrigan hosts ninth rated Northwood-Kensett in a battle of unbeatens. This will be the fourth rated opponent of the season for Garrigan.

Golden Bears’ coach Marty Wadle says they’re a good team with a good coach who continue to do the things they’ve done very well for years. Wadle says his team needs to take advantage of scoring opportunities when they get them. He says they want to make big long drives, but they also want to get the ball into the end zone.

Northwood-Kensett coach Dave Capitani says they’re pleased to be 5-0 after several question marks coming in over the players who would fill in after graduation losses.

Capitani his team needs to do the little things better, win the turnover battle and come up with some stops to get a win.
