The UNI Panthers have established themselves as an outstanding road team but when it comes to the playoffs they would just as soon remain at home. The Panthers have five road victories in their 7-0 start to the season and athletic director Rick Hartzell says the more they win the better the chance to host playoff games.

Hartzells says if they win the last four games, they have a 100% chance of hosting two games at home. He says hosting more games would depend on how the national committee sees UNI compared to McNeese State and Montana.

While administrators are making plans for the post-season coach Mark Farley says the Panthers can’t afford to look at the big picture.  Farley says the one nice thing is that they are 7-0, and the most please is that five of the wins are on the road. He says the only thing you can look ahead to is that three of the last five games are at home.

Farley says playing on the road has made the Panthers a better team, as he says when they go on the road they’re very focused. He says they’ve had a similar focus on the road as they have at home.
