The Iowa Hawkeyes look for their second Big Ten victory of the season when they host Michigan State. Under first-year coach Mark Dantonio the Spartans got off to a fast start but they are just 1-3 in the Big Ten.

Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz says the Spartans have always had good talent and he says the coaches do a wonderful job. The game will match Iowa’s struggling offense against a Spartan defense that has 31 sacks this season. He says they create a lot of problems for an offense, and create a lot of turnovers. F

erentz expects the Spartan defense to come in with an aggressive game plan to try and stuff the Iowa offense right away.Iowa is 3-5 overall and 1-4 in the Big Ten.

Iowa State visits 13th ranked Missouri and the Cyclones need to find a way to slow down a Tiger offense led by quarterback Chase Daniel. Cyclone coach Gene Chizik says "they’re really good." Chizik says while you gocus on Chase Daniel, you’d better stop the run first. And he says Daniel is a great quarterback.

Chizik says the Tigers do everything well as they have a great offense. He says they can spread you out, they can go no huddle, and keep you really off balance. Chizik says they need to keep the defense from wearing down. He says they’ll try to play with some depth as the tempo of the game will be fast. Chizik says the whole thing starts with stopping the run.

Iowa State is 1-7.
