An arrest has been made in one of the four convenience store robberies in Mason City this month. Mason City police say they’ve arrested 15-year-old Cody Kittleson of Mason City in connection with the robbery of the Casey’s General Store at 813 North Federal on Sunday morning.

Investigators were able to locate the handgun, skeleton mask, black hooded sweatshirt, and a white glove the suspect was apparently wearing during the robbery, as well as an undisclosed amount of cash. Kittleson has been charged with second-degree robbery, as well as possession with the intent to distribute marijuana.

Kittleson has been transported to the juvenile detention facility in Waterloo. Police believe that Kittleson is not connected to the other three convenience store robberies, the Kwik Mart at 18 North Monroe on November 3rd, the Kum & Go at 637 12th Northeast on November 5th, and the Kum & Go at 1224 North Federal last Friday morning. If you have any information about those crimes, you are asked to contact the Mason City Police Department at 421-3636 or Crime Stoppers of North Iowa at 800-383-0088.
