He led Kentucky to a national championship and now Tubby Smith is attempting to rebuild the program at Minnesotas as the Gophers get set to visit Iowa State, tonight. The Gophers have played just once and that was a victory over Army.
Smith says they’re getting good leadership from the players who have bought into his way of doing things.
Smith says playing on the road will be a new challenge for the Gophers. He says you want to play with poise and under control the road, so this will be a good test.
Smith says this will be a tough matchup for the Gophers, as he says Greg McDermott is an outstanding coach for ISU.
