The Cedar Rapids Police Department is investigating a robbery in which a man walked into a credit union and claimed he had a bomb. The robbery happened just after five p.m. Tuesday at the Community First Credit Union, on the northeast side of Cedar Rapids.

A lone black man wearing a blue sweat shirt, blue stocking cap and a white t-shirt wrapped around his face, walked into the business, gave the teller a not stating that he had an explosive device outside and to hand over the money. The man left the credit union on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
