If football teams can get on a hot streak Central is a perfect example. After finishing the regular season unbeaten the Dutch have turned it up a notch in the playoffs and are coming off a blow out victory over St. Johns of Minnesota heading into this weekend’s division three quarterfinal round game against Bethel of Minnesota.

Central coach Jeff McMartin says sometimes when a team gets a couple of tough loses, things go the other way, so you have to take the momentum in football. He says the Dutch continue to improve each week. McMartin says they’ve been able to stay focused, and to stay healthy recently after being banged up early in the season.

McMartin says one strength of the team is the players ability to make adjustments during games. He says one of the nice things is that they are good about talking between series about changes they need to make and plays that will work.
