Autopsy results are being released on 24-year-old Douglas Lindseth, the north-central Iowa man who authorities say was murdered by his brother. It has been determined that Lindseth died of blunt force injuries of the head and multiple stab wounds to the chest and neck. Lindseth’s death was ruled as a homicide.

Last Monday, night the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Deputies were summoned to a rural Ellsworth residence where there was the report of an assault. When they arrived they discovered the body of Douglas Lindseth. The deputies asked for assistance from the state Division of Criminal Investigation in their investigation.

On Tuesday, deputies arrested Lindseth’s brother, 25-year-old Michael Anthony Lindseth, who is facing charges of murder in the first-degree and burglary. The bond for Michael Lindseth is set at half a million dollars. A preliminary hearing for Michael Lindseth has been tentatively scheduled for December 14th at 1:30 at the Hamilton County Courthouse in Webster City.
