A late run in the first half and the rout was on at Ohio State last night as the Iowa Hawkeyes fell to the Buckeyes 79-48 in Big Ten action. Ohio State closed the first half on a 27-3 run to build a 45-17 advantage at the break.

Iowa coach Todd Lickliter says a lot of it comes with concentrating on the task at hand and he thinks the team was concentrating on the environment and the opponent. Lickliter says the Buckeyes probably had a record number of dunks because his team was out of position.

Lickliter says the Hawks missed too many good shots to even make it competitive. He says that goes along with not defending and following through on the game. Lickliter says the Hawks have not learned to play the way they need to if they want to be competitive. Lickliter says "you haven’t taught until they’ve learned," and Lickliter says they haven’t taught well.

Iowa is 0-3 in the Big Ten.
