The Iowa State Cyclones visit second ranked Kansas in Big 12 play. The Cyclones are 2-1 in the league race after home wins against Missouri and Oklahoma State. Iowa State coach Greg McDermott says Kansas is as talented a team as there is in the country, "and I don’t think there’s any question about that." McDermott says they are so dangerous offensively because of their balance and a number of players who could put up 20 points against you.

He says the Jayhawks are tough at both ends of the court, and are one of the best teams defensively as well as offensively. McDermott says you have to play a perfect game against Kansas and hope that they are not on the top of their game.

Kansas coach Bill Self says he is not surprised the Cyclones are making strides in McDermott’s second year at the helm. He says McDermott can really coach and has done a good job of recruiting. Self says he is concerned about Iowa State’s size, and knows they’ll get a great effort.

Iowa State is 12-6 overall. Kansas is 18-0.
